Fees & Insurance

  • My session rates are competitive within NYC. I also have a specific number of sliding scale appointments which I reserve for those who identify with historically marginalized groups. I believe that everyone should have access to high quality treatment regardless of their financial status and am happy to discuss your specific situation to ensure that our work together is feasible for you.

  • My am an out-of-network provider. However, many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits which may cover part or all of your treatment costs. If you have out-of-network benefits and would like to use your mental health benefits for our sessions, I will provide you with a “Superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage and set a number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you're going through or if you need more support. If I were to take insurance, then our therapy would be directly overseen by each insurance company and they often require detailed personal information about your time in therapy. Remaining out of network, allows me to maintain a high level of quality care as well as your privacy and autonomy.

  • If you’re unsure about whether you have coverage, the best step is to reach out to your insurance company directly. You can ask your insurance provider these questions:

    1. Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT Code 90834 or 90834-95 for Telehealth)?

    2. Do I have a deductible and how much is it? Has any of it been met this year?

    3. Do I have a coinsurance amount once my deductible is met?

    For many individuals, part or all of their cost of therapy may be covered as an out-of-network benefit.

  • I offer 45-minute and 60-minute sessions. After our first few appointments, you and I will collaborate to decide the frequency and length of appointments that best supports your goals for therapy.
